Having trouble finding dimands in minecraft? take these tips.
First, make a mine in your house and make sure there's no cave systems (I normally try to avoid those because they made dimands no longer spawn in cave systems) and just dig 2 blocks in front of you then 1 block below that look to see if there's lava if not go down and repeat
so down 1 block
then mine the 2 in front of you
then 1 below that
and go down
if you feel your gonna fall after mining a block press crouch (I have it set to f)
then when you hit bed rock go back up 2 blocks and mine to your right.
Keep mining straight and be cautious about where you mine and be quick the first sight of any unknown brightness (LAVA).

Q:what if the diamond is right above lava?
A:it most likely will not spawn like that but if it does you should always bring around a bucket of water to get rid of any and all lava.
